Loss can be overwhelming. But we provide emotional and spiritual support in times of grief. Our hospitality team helps during funeral services. Trained bereavement counselors offer a support group experience. And our outreach ministers send cards and flowers on key anniversaries so family members will know they have not been forgotten. Open your heart and learn from professionals how to walk with those who are grieving.
We make it look easy, but parish events actually take a lot of work. From complimentary funeral receptions to St. Patrick’s Day dinners to our Christmas Deck the Halls party, the many hands of Marilyn’s Helpers have been making light work around the church campus for over twenty years. Santa’s got nothing on Marilyn, except maybe more helpers. Put your talents to work, whether it’s baking, cooking, or decorating for celebrations and receptions in our parish hall, or even just tidying up a bit after everyone’s gone home.
Telephone Concern Hotline and Transportation
We care so much for our seniors that we also host a special hotline to make sure they are safe at home every day, and, whenever possible, we'll pick them up and take them to church. Pick up the phone and help check on the elderly who live alone or offer to drive a senior to church.
We offer the best senior discount in town! Golden agers gather each month for a special Mass and a free home-cooked meal, while our adorable second-graders provide homespun entertainment followed by a delightful piano sing-along. Dish up a little love each month for your elders. Show them that you care by serving lunch or helping with entertainment.
Pastoral Visitation of the Sick and Homebound
When our friends are laid up at home or in the hospital, we make house calls. With services at Marin Convalescent, Aegis Assisted Living, and even in homes, we visit parishioners everywhere they are. We make house calls and bring Holy Communion to those who can’t make it to church. Jesus praised those who visited the sick, Matthew 25:36. So join the team of our pastoral volunteers making Hilary House Calls and hit the road with us!
