
We're so excited that you will be attending Mass this Sunday. Please read through the following safety instructions carefully and register below to attend Mass. We will be strictly enforcing these guidelines in an effort to act in a socially responsible manner and protect everyone's health in accordance with CDC guidelines.
We understand that this is a lot of information to remember. We will have safety volunteers to help you every step of the way. Our primary concern is your safety.
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Take care of your own health. Please screen yourself for COVID-19 symptoms. Wash your hands frequently, wear a face covering whenever in public, and maintain a six-foot distance from others.Please do not attend Mass if you have symptoms of COVID-19.For those 3 and up, face coverings are required at all times during Mass.Please bring your own face covering, gloves, and hand sanitizer that can be used before receiving Holy Communion.Restrooms will be closed. Please plan accordingly.
MASS ARRIVAL PROCEDURES
Please try not to be late. When you are late, our volunteers miss key parts of the Mass. Thank you for your courtesy.Face coverings (for ages 3+) should be worn as soon as you exit your vehicle.Please arrive early to allow sufficient time for check-in and seating procedures. You will be asked to submit to a temperature check and brief health assessment.Our volunteers will seat your household.If you need special assistance, please inform a safety volunteer.
MASS PROCEDURES
Please keep your face covering on for the entire duration of the Mass.Please do not sing during Mass as singing increases the risk of spreading aersolized virus particles in the air.Please refrain from any physical contact between households at the Sign of Peace.Collection baskets will not be passed during the offertory, but you will be able to place your weekly gift in a basket as you exit. We also strongly encourage online giving at www.sthilary.org/give.
COMMUNION & MASS DEPARTURE PROCEDURES
Communion will be distributed during Mass. Safety volunteers will direct you. Please be patient as you await your turn.Use of personal hand sanitizer before communion is strongly encouraged.The Eucharistic Ministers will sanitize their hands thoroughly and then distribute communion using face coverings. Neither the Eucharistic Minister nor you should wear gloves while distributing or receiving communion.Neither the precious blood nor communion on the tongue will be offered to the congregation to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.Face coverings should be worn in the communion line. After the minister offers you communion please step 6 feet away, remove your face covering briefly, consume the Eucharist, and replace your face covering, return to your seat.After Mass, please place your weekly offertory in the collection basket by the exit on your way out.Please do not congregate outside the church. Proceed directly to your vehicle.
