The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, the RCIA, is a process which welcomes all who are interested in becoming Catholic or wishing to learn more about Catholicism. The Rite involves the formation of a community that learns, shares, builds community and prays together to deepen their relationship to God and to the parish family. Formation sessions meet on Tuesday evenings in Tarantino Hall from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm.

No Catholic Sacraments are permitted in Old Saint Hilary's, which has not been a Catholic church for many years.

PLEASE NOTE: if you are NOT Catholic and are just looking for a lovely place to have your ceremony, you may be thinking of "Old Saint Hilary's" here in Tiburon, which is a landmark and not a Catholic parish. Learn more by going to their website at:

http://www.landmarks-society.org/landmarks/st-hilarys/

No Catholic Sacraments (e.g., Baptism, Marriage, Holy Mass, etc.) are permitted in Old Saint Hilary's. If you find a priest who offers to "officiate at your wedding" in Old Saint Hilary's, please know that he is probably not a Catholic priest in good standing, he has no faculties to witness your marriage vows, and any wedding celebrated at Old Saint Hilary's is invalid in the Catholic Church. There are various "rent-a-priest" groups which represent themselves as Catholic, but please check with our parish, or with the Archdiocese of San Francisco, before making a big mistake about the legitimacy of such claims.

Holy Orders

If you feel called to become a deacon or a priest, we invite you to speak to one of our priests to learn more. You may also go to: http://www.sfarchdiocese.org/vocations/office-of-vocations
