Religious Education for Children
Religious Education Classes (K-8)
At St. Hilary's, our youngsters grow in faith and in the joy of being Catholic. Our comprehensive Religious Education program from Kindergarten to eighth grade supports parents in their role as primary educators in the faith of their children. We also prepare our students for the sacraments, including First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. Our program also includes Family Service Projects to introduce our kids to the joy of serving others.
Kindergarten through fourth grade students meet on Sunday mornings immediately following the 9:00 am Mass, from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Join fellow parents and parishioners in Tarantino Hall for coffee and doughnuts while your children are in their classes. Older students (5th-8th grades) meet on Sunday evenings following the 5:00 pm Mass.
Our online enrollment for the 2016-17 Religious Education year at Saint Hilary is now open. Use this link to access the online enrollment:

Here is the Religious Education Program calendar for the current school year:
“The Religious Ed program provides a warm, loving environment to teach our children the Catholic faith and prepare them for the sacraments. We are blessed that our two daughters are growing up in this inspirational community!” – Maria Reilly, Catechist
Children's Liturgy of the Word
During Mass, children (ages 3 and up) are invited to the school library with Director of Religious Education, Lisa Veto, and Children’s Liturgy aides, for a kid-sized experience of the liturgy. They sing, dance, play games, and participate in other enriching learning activities with caring adults to learn about the Sunday readings at their level. The lesson lasts approximately 20 minutes, after which the children return to the church to join their families at Mass.
Parents are always welcome to join their children and to help with this wonderful ministry. If you are interested in helping, contact us at (415) 435-1122, or at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or click here to request information online.
