New Parish Business Manager

On January first, Mr. Adrian Gordon joins our ministry team as the new Business Manager for Saint Hilary Church and School.

Adrian, his wife Lynn, and their son Reid live right next door in Mill Valley, and we look forward to having him join the pastoral staff for this very important job. Our warmest thanks to Mr. Bill Tiedje, who will be working alongside Adrian in the coming weeks, to help him get used to the many joys of serving the people of our happy little peninsula, and keeping the school, church, hall, gym, rectory and grounds in good order. Lynn and Adrian were introduced during the special Christmas party on December 13 and felt most welcomed by the faculty, staff and committee members that night.

Board Members needed!

The Marin County Library Foundation is looking for new board members with experience in publicity, fundraising, or nonprofit leadership. We meet once a month at the San Rafael Civic Center. Please contact parish member Molly O'Dell at molly.odell@novoco.com for more information.

Embracing the Change

As part of our effort to help you embrace the changes in our liturgy we will be purchasing a permanent hard cover hymnal with all the Mass readings for the entire year. I have compared four different hymnals and have selected Gather, third edition, from GIA Publications.

We are offering you the chance to be a part of this wonderful occasion and to donate a hymnal book, or a block of hymnal books, for our parish church.

The donation per hymnal is $25.00 — or $100.00 for a block of five hymnals. The cover of the hymnal is dark blue engraved with a gold cross; on the lower part of the cover are engraved the words "Saint Hilary Church, Tiburon, California."

On the inside cover you may have the name of your family, or a memorial to a loved one with a personalized dedication. On the opposite page is the complete revised order of the Mass which goes into effect the First Sunday of the Advent Season (November 27, 2011).

Thank you so very much for all your support, and I know you will spiritually enjoy this new Scriptural and musical hymnal! Order forms are in the Bulletin and can be returned with a check to the rectory or placed in the collection basket at Mass.

St. Vincent de Paul Society "Car Donation Program"

If you have a car you can donate to SVDP please call our parishioner Bill Eberhart at 258-5226. Your gift will financially aid the SVDP Free Dining Room in San Rafael which serves 300 hot lunches daily in addition to breakfasts & bag lunches for dinner. Many of our diners can't make ends meet; others sleep outside and eat at our dining room.

Lunches for the Homeless

Please be sure to have the lunches you prepare for the homeless in Vincent's office by 10:30 on the Sunday morning they are due. Marilyn Knight picks them up and delivers them that morning. Very Important, please call Gail Scott to let her know you are making the lunches (435-1017). Thank you for feeding our homeless!
