Dear Friends,

It has already been several weeks since my sabbatical departure. I have had the wonderful opportunity to meet with friends I have not seen in many years in Southern California and I am now on the east coast enjoying the friendship and hospitality of the South. I will be visiting Boston and Maine before I travel abroad to England where I will begin my renewal program.

I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to all of you at our wonderful parish. My leaving was blessed by the outpouring of good wishes and generosity of so many. Thanks to everyone involved in the parish gala on June 14! It was a fabulous, fun evening. Thank you for the wonderful evening of great music, great food and great entertainment and the gifts of your talents in making this event so special. But most of all, thank you all for your prayers.

There will be much happening during my absence; the parish phone survey, the upcoming leadership workshop, parish survey and town meeting. Your continued participation will keep moving us forward to maintain a strong spiritual and vibrant track.

May God continue to bless and nurture our parish family and all the good work He is fostering through our combined efforts.
